I don't have any experience with mixing those two.

Any time I anneal, I use it for the patina, not to harden as it will change the color of the brass. Because customers want to be able to bend the cuffs to get them on and off the wrist, I would not harden the brass. That's a personal preference.

Making your own cuff is a grand idea and money saver. Good for you!

I clean the brass with alcohol and I do a light surface scrub with a super fine grit sanding block, then another alcohol rub to make sure it's pristine and clean before the resist.

Happy Making!Dr Brassy Steamingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07855375308281049620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649886848867394090.post-32198497404074521622016-10-13T10:01:28.153-07:002016-10-13T10:01:28.153-07:00This comment has been hidden from the blog.Dr Brassy Steamingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07855375308281049620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649886848867394090.post-26679738826334885352016-10-12T14:53:06.526-07:002016-10-12T14:53:06.526-07:00This comment has been hidden from the blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649886848867394090.post-29222318762441669102016-08-16T23:25:10.480-07:002016-08-16T23:25:10.480-07:00This was my first article of yours that I have rea...This was my first article of yours that I have read, and your writing is enjoyable and informative! I have what I call the "Cook" room, that I keep warm and put all my glue curing pieces in. This seems to give me good results and also keeps me safe from fumes. I hope that helps. With E6000, use the smallest amount for best results. Too think or too much and it won't set.
Dr Brassy Steamingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07855375308281049620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649886848867394090.post-29760096056899066762014-03-25T08:35:04.149-07:002014-03-25T08:35:04.149-07:00they no longer sell the solution in Radio Shack......they no longer sell the solution in Radio Shack...what is the next best solution to use..you mentioned Miracle Grow, is that just the name, or the plant growing stuff?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17281761400800942572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5649886848867394090.post-34936373907315487782014-03-25T08:26:48.527-07:002014-03-25T08:26:48.527-07:00What kind of glue do you use to put these together...What kind of glue do you use to put these together?
